Kano Pillars Chairman - Mai Samba

Soccer enthusiasts in the state, particularly Kano Pillars FC fans, are deeply agitated by the team’s management’s failure to select new players and coaches just a few weeks before the start of the new league season.

The majority of them believe that the team’s management is doing nothing to attract more quality players to improve and strengthen the team.

Fans are concerned about the team’s management’s reticence on which player to bring in and who will leave weeks after the season ends.

They are also concerned that, despite TA Usman Abdallah’s resignation as head coach of the team, the management has yet to identify his successor just a few weeks before the start of the new season.

However, this site discovered that the team’s technical committee had already pencilled in and considered the names of approximately seven strong and remarkable players for the team.

According to the findings of this website, the team’s management, led by Ali Nayara Mai Samba, is in talks with a number of high-quality players in order to strengthen its team for the upcoming football season.

Our investigations further unfolded that Kano Pillars has had good negotiations with some elite players from Enyimba FC in Aba, El-Kanemi Warriors in Borno, Heartland FC in Owerri, and Lobi Stars in Makurdi, and will soon reveal who they are and the contracts they signed.

The team according to our findings is also in talks with some players of Katsina United FC, Niger Tornadoes FC, Akwa United and Rivers United FC.

Our findings also revealed that the team has welcomed back two of its former players, who are eager to join the team for the upcoming season.

Regarding the probable coach to replace their former TA, Usman Abdallah, an impeccable source hinted that the team’s management is yet to make a decision, but they are in talks with a few candidates, which will be made public shortly.

When asked to comment on the two concerns, the club’s chairman, Ali Mai Samba, declined to say anything but confirmed that the club’s management board is seriously working on the situation and will soon reveal their new catch.

“We are into talks with some coaches and the moment the board makes its choice, we will bring to your notice.” Mai Samba stated.

Mai Samba then told everyone that they are working hard to bring the greatest players to the squad, and that God willing, they will be awarded a continental place next season.

I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
