    Enyimba, Remo Stars, other top NPFL Clubs Facebook followership…Kano Pillars is number 18

    Enyimba Football Club of Aba, Remo Stars Football Club and Rivers United Football Club are the three top teams in the NPFL Clubs Facebook followership that will play in the next season 2023/2024 Premier League.

    According to a table which shows the rankings and made available to www,sportseye.ng, the three top teams are among the twenty football team that made the list.

    Enyimba FC of Aba occupied the first position with 126,000 Follows and 100,000 Likes while Remo Stars FC got 94,000 Follows and 49,000 Likes to emerge second. Rivers United FC got the third position with 73,000 Follows and 48,000 Likes.

    Shooting Stars of Ibadan are number four in the table with 62,000 Follows and 46,000 Likes. Akwa United FC, Lobi stars FC, Gombe United and Kwara United are fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively.

    Niger Tornadoes and NNL Champions, Heartland FC of Owerri are number nine and ten on the table.

    Kano Pillars FC which is the NNL runners-up is occupying position 18 with 12,000 Follows and 10,000 Likes. While Doma United and Bayelsa United are number 19 and 20 positions respectively.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
