Ahead of the commencement of the new football season, Plateau United Football Club have strengthened their squad with the recruitment of eight new players as part of efforts to build a more competitive team.
The new arrivals cut across different positions, including defence, midfield, attack and goalkeeping, giving the club additional options as it prepares for the demands of the season.

Among the players recruited are left-back Ikouwen Utin from Shooting Stars FC, defender Jimmy Ambrose from Barau FC, winger Paul Samson from Abia Warriors FC and left-back Odeh Paul from Enyimba FC.
The other new signings are striker Adama Isaiah from Kogi United FC, striker Anas Yusuf from Ironi Nesher FC, goalkeeper Okiemute Odah from Abia Warriors FC and attacking midfielder Ekundayo Ojo from ASIO FC.
The recruitment is expected to provide greater depth across the squad and give the technical crew more options in selecting a balanced team for the new campaign.
With the new season set to begin, Plateau United will be hoping that the fresh additions can quickly settle into the squad and make meaningful contributions to the club’s performances.
The management’s decision to reinforce the team also underlines its intention to address areas that may require improvement and ensure that the club is adequately prepared for the challenges ahead.
The new signings will now have the opportunity to work alongside the existing squad during preparations for the season, as the Jos-based club seeks to compete strongly and achieve its targets.
