His name is increasingly gaining recognition, not only in his Fagge D1 Ward but across the ten wards of Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State.
His growing popularity is largely linked to his close relationship with the people and his continued presence among them.

Unlike some politicians who become less accessible after leaving office or losing a primary election, Sagir Abba has remained connected to his community.
Although he does not currently hold any political or elective position in the present administration, he continues to participate actively in the affairs of his people.
He attends community activities, interacts with residents and, importantly, listens to their concerns.
For him, listening appears to be only the beginning. When members of the community approach him with personal or community challenges, he tries to find ways of responding to their needs, particularly when the problems require immediate attention.
This approach has helped him maintain a strong grassroots presence and, according to people familiar with his activities, considerable support beyond his immediate ward.
His activities and interactions have continued to attract attention across Fagge Local Government.
What makes Sagir Abba particularly noticeable is not simply the frequency with which his name is mentioned, but the manner in which he relates with ordinary people.

Only this morning, I was informed that he had also provided tricycles to some beneficiaries to enable them to earn a living and become more self-reliant.
Sagir Abba has also reportedly provided vehicles to some individuals to ease their transportation challenges.
Beyond these forms of empowerment, there are also gestures that touch personal and religious needs.
Only a few days ago, I witnessed one of his ardent supporters expressing appreciation to him for an Umrah gift.
These are only some of the activities I have personally seen or been informed about. There may be many others of which I am not aware.
Taken together, these activities help explain why Sagir Abba has continued to attract attention among people in Fagge, despite not holding a political or elective office in the current dispensation.
Whether his grassroots activities will eventually translate into a formal political position remains a matter for the future.
For now, however, his continued engagement with the people demonstrates that political visibility and community influence are not necessarily dependent on occupying public office.
Many people who have benefited from his generosity now appear to be looking forward to an opportunity to reciprocate his gestures by supporting him whenever the time comes.
For them, the assistance they have received is not something to be forgotten, but a gesture they may wish to repay through their own support and loyalty.
