    Maizare now GM/CEO Radio Nasara

    Former chairman of the Kano state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Malam Ismaila Ammai Maizare has been appointed   as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Nassara Radio 98.5 FM.

    The appointment was communicated to Malam Ismaila Ammai Maizare via a copy of a letter dated 2nd May, 2024 which was signed by Malam Muhammada Mahmoud and made available to this site.

    “I am pleased to officially notify you that the Board of Directors of Nasara Mass Media has approved your appointment as the General Manager/CEO at Nasara Radio (98.5 FM) located in Kano,” the letter reads.

    Maizare, a former staff of Radio Kano who was known to be hardworking and dedicated during his stay in his former work place, has since occupied his new office.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
