The National Under 20 Football team- the Flying Eagles has invited two Players from Kano Pillars fc the national team.

A statement by the Flying Eagles Coach, Ladon Bosses on Wednesday which was made available to this site by Kano Pillars FC Media Officer, Sharif Zahraddeen Usman kofar Nassarawa names the playes as Ibrahim Suleiman Idris Manu and Ibrahim Abdullahi Musa.

The statement directed the two Players to report to the camp in Abuja directly ahead of the preparation of the 13th African Games in Ghana.

Following this development, the Executive Chairman Kano Pillars FC Management Board, Alh Babangida Umar Little and the Technical Advisor coach Abdu Maikaba had charged the two players to be the good ambassadors of Sai Masu Gida team wherever they found themselves.

The Chairman further urged the invited players to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them by the National team.

Little then called on people of Kano to continue to pray for the success of the two players while at the National Under 20 team.

The Pillars Boss attributed this great feat by the Club to the continuous financial backing by Kano State Governor, Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf since his assumption of office as Executive Governor of Kano State.

He expressed confidence that players of Kano Pillars fc would continue to excel both at national and international outings.

I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
