    Kano FA elections get dates

    The Kano State Football Association Secretary General Malam Shehu Buhari has released electoral guidelines into the association.

    According to a Calendar which was released with no date attached and signed by the secretary,  stated that advertisement is to take place on 8 of May 2023, sales of forms from 12th of May to 15th of May 2023 and screening of candidates 15th of May, 2023.

    Release of screened candidates is to take place on 16th of May 2023 and elections date is 17th of May 2023.

    Appeal committee is to sit on 19th May 2023.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
