    Kano Pillars to name Head Coach today

    The management of Kano Pillars Football Club will this evening unveil the newly Head Coach it contracted for the team ahead of the beginning of the new season next month.

    This development was revealed to all media including the www.sportseye.ng in Kano by a member of the team’s media committee in person of Muhammad Wasilu Kawo.

    According to Kawo the unveiling ceremony is to be held at the Deputy Governor’s office today Monday 24th July 2023 by 4 PM prompt.

    The unveiling ceremony was sequel to the successful interview of those that indicated their interest to work as head coaches of the team some days back.

    I am happy to inform you all that the management has made a decision.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
