The chairman of Kano Pillars Interim Management Committee, Alhaji Babangida Little has thanked the government of Kano state under the leadership of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusif and the entire people of Kano state for their unflinching support in their on-going NNL campaign in Asaba, Delta state.

The chairman thanked all when he was speaking with the www.sportseye.com from Asaba the capital of Delta state in an interview.

Babangida who was full of praises of his players and technical crew, unfolded that the victories in their two matches were due to the support from the state governor and the prayers from the entire people of Kano state.

He thanked everybody and called for more prayers as the team is billed to play its last group match tomorrow against Katsina United.

He promised not to let Kano and its people down.

“Our boys are in top form and are ready to do their best to return Kano Pillars FC to the premier league next football season,” Babangida Little concluded.

    All Little thanks

I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
