    NPFL: Little commends Technical Crew

    The Executive Chairman of Kano pillars Alhaji Babangida Umar Little has commended Technical crew towards the success of the team in the first stanza of 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, the club’s Media Officer, Sharif Zahraddeen Usman Kofar Nassarawa has revealed.

    Kofar Nasarawa, in a statement stated that Alhaji Babangida Umar Little ushered the board’s appreciation over the superlative performance of the coaches and the players which resulted in the club’s brilliant show in the first stanza.

    “Earning 32 points for Kano Pillars football made the team to occupy 4th Position in the premier league table is a good omen,” he said.

    The club chairman then promised to take all necessary measures in solving the financial problems being experienced by the Sai Masu Gidan Team.

    Little further commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his moral and financial support for the team assuring the team’s commitment and hard work to succeed in the 2nd Stanza of the competition after their four weeks’ recess.

    Responding, the head of the Technical Crew, Coach Abdu Maikaba has promised to continue to work hard to emerge victorious in the rest of their matches in the second stanza to enable Pillars to triumph and lift the trophy.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
