A young 18-year-old Nigerian football player named Aliyu Umar Muhammad Kankarofi, also known as Haido, has been making notable progress in Albanian football.
He was discovered as a remarkable prospect during the first Dan Saurayi Sports Agency football scouting event in Kano, Nigeria, where his journey started.
After being discovered, Haido was able to get a transfer to the Tirana, Albania-based football team KKS Albanët. KKS Albanët began as a youth sports club in 2020 and, in the 2022–2023 season, added a senior team to compete in Kategoria e Tretë.
They were promoted to Kategoria e Dytë after their outstanding performance earned them first position in Group B.
Haido first demonstrated his abilities at KKS Albanët with the Under-19 squad, playing six games and dishing out five goals and four assists. His outstanding performance earned him a promotion to the first team.
In his 11 appearances with the senior squad, Kankarofi contributed three goals and six assists, playing a pivotal role in nine goals over these matches.
KKS Albanët’s current season in the Albanian Second Division reflects their competitive edge, with an average of 1.38 goals scored per match and a 31% clean sheet rate.
The team’s success has benefited greatly from Kankarofi’s services, and both domestic and foreign football fans continue to keep a close eye on his progress.
