The newly appointed Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida, has formally received his appointment letter, officially setting the stage for him to take charge of the commission.
Babangida received the letter on Monday at the office of the Secretary to the Kano State Government, where the presentation was conducted in an atmosphere of excitement and celebration.
The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Yusuf Jibrin Falgore, formally presented the appointment letter to the veteran sports administrator on behalf of the Kano State Government.

The appointment of Babangida is seen as a recognition of his wealth of experience, competence and long-standing contributions to sports administration and development in Kano State and Nigeria.
