In Kano, KASHIGA hosts first sports symposium

A one-day sports symposium is being organized by the Kano State Higher Institution Games Association’s (KASHIGA) Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for all higher education heads, their sports directors, and other state stakeholders.  

The symposium, which has as its theme “Unlocking the Power of Sports: In promoting unity, Academic Excellence, and the Well-being of Staff and Students in Kano State’s Higher Institutions,” is scheduled for the 18th of this month at the Prof. Hafizu Wali Hall of the Northwest University, Kano, Main Campus, Kofar Nasarawa in Kano by 9:00 am, according to the invitation card that was posted to this website online.  

The state deputy governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalamu who is also the sate commissioner for higher education is going to chair the occasion while Prof. Muktar Atiku Kurawa, the vice chancellor of Northwest University Kano is going to be the chief host of the event.

The invitation also stated that Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, the state commissioner of youth and sports, is serving as the Special Guest and Hajia Jamila Magaji Abdullahi, the state accountant-general, as the Guest of Honor.
