The Non-Academic Association Staff Union of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology  (ADUSTECH) formerly Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST) Wudil, had donated the sum of  N1,500,000.00 to its retired member Mal. Ibrahim Baba Takai (Ustaz) of the Security Division as a retirement gift.

The ceremony which was held on Thursday 28th September,2023 was presided by Alh. Jamilu Abubakar, who is the chairman of the Union’s Retirement Committee at Wudil the university premises.

The chairman who congratulated Malam Takai for his successful exit from the university work prayed and urged him to utilize the money given to him judiciously.

In his remarks Mal. Ibrahim Baba Takai thanked the Union for the gesture accorded to him and then called on those he left behind to double their efforts in order to move the university forward.

Among those that graced the occasion are Mal. Nura Muhammad, Chairman NASU ADUSTECH Wudil Branch who was represented by Mal. Abba Wudil Secretary of the Union, Badamasi Ado Exco representing Bursary Department, Mal. Sani Kawu of the Physical Planning Department.

The rest are Director Security of the University, Capt. Magaji Doguwa (rtd), and Mal. Rabiu Idris a Senior Security Officer.

I was at the production unit of the Triumph Publishing Company, Kano but my keen interest in sports journalism made me to be sports writer and maintained a sports column called (Sports Eye) after my mentor Sani Muhammad Zaria transferred his service to New Nigeria newspapers in Kaduna. And when the government closed the Triumph in 2012, I was transfered to lectured DTP in the Department of Printing Technology of Kano State Polytechnic. And now that I retired, i used to visit the institution weekends for part-time lecturing.
