    Muhd Lawan Lukman: New Printing Technology HOD…to serves for two academic sessions

    Following Malam Muhammad Lawan Lukman’s election by the congress of the Department of Printing Technology few weeks ago, Kano State Polytechnic’s management has authorized his appointment as the department’s substantive head of department for two academic years beginning in 2024–2025.

    A letter headed “Appointment as Substantive Head of Department” dated 22/04/25, signed by Sulaiman Hussaini, Deputy Registrar Academic of the Kano State Polytechnic, announced his appointment.

     “Your appointment is in strict compliance with the provision of section 22(2b) of the Kano State Polytechnic Law which was confer on the Rector, the authority to approve such appointment,” the letter explained.

    “On behalf of the management, accept my congratulations and wishing you Allah’s guidance on the well-deserved appointment, please,” it concluded.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
