    2024 Ember Month Fire Sensitization: Thrilling  football match between Marya Boys and Federal Fire Service Team

    To mark the 2024 Ember Months Fire Sensitization programme, the Sports Officer of the Kano Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Jamilu Uba Adamu on behalf of the Commander of the Kano State Command is inviting the general public to grace a friendly football match between the Marwa Boys Football Club and the Federal Fire Service  Football Team.

    The encounter according to the invitation is going to be decided this evening at the Immigration Training School, Airport Road Kano by 3:30pm.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
