The Kano State Government has called on interested civil and public servants to register for the 45th Annual Public Service Games (FEPSGA), scheduled to hold in the state from Tuesday, October 6, to Friday, October 16, 2026.
The call was contained in a circular issued by the Establishments Directorate of the Kano State Government on Thursday, September 17, 2026, and made available to SportsEye online.
The circular, No. 8, with reference number HCS/GEN/473/1/001, was titled “Hosting of 45th Annual Public Service Games (FEPSGA) by Kano State Government: Registration and Enrolment of State Contingents.”

It was signed by Abba A. Danguguwa, Permanent Secretary, Establishments, for the Head of Service and Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee.
According to the circular, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf approved the hosting of the games in Kano State.
The event is expected to provide civil and public servants across the state with an opportunity to participate in a national sporting competition while promoting unity, social cohesion and the state’s hospitality and rich cultural heritage.
“This landmark event brings together over Eight Thousand participants from about Eighty Federal MDAs across the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,” the circular stated.
It added that a State Local Organising Committee (LOC) had been established following the approval to host the games.
The committee was mandated to coordinate the preparatory activities for the event.
The circular called on all civil and public servants interested in participating in the games to present themselves for registration and enrolment.
“All interested athletes in all sporting activities are required to report to the Secretary/Legal Adviser, Kano State Sports Commission, for the registration and enrolment, on or before Friday, 25th September, 2026,” it stated.
The government urged eligible civil and public servants to take advantage of the opportunity to represent Kano State at the games.
It said their participation would contribute to the state’s efforts to maintain its leading status in line with the “Kano First” agenda of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The circular also directed all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to give the notice the widest circulation within their respective establishments.
“All Heads of MDAs are to give this circular the widest circulation within their respective establishments and ensure full compliance,” it concluded.
