Few days days ago, I ran into this specific honorable and fine gentleman named Muhammad Wasilu Kawo, who I have never met, however, been hearing about him and from him through his different educative and engaging radio productions and reports.

It was my most memorable eye to eye experience with this youthful and promising sports adoring person.

This is on the grounds that as sports essayist as well as an examiner or analyst, I don’t bought in or subscribe to going to games or any sports event or gathering since I just depended on the reports I read or hear from different mediums to make my reviews.

In any case, as destiny has made it potential, we saw ourselves eye to eye in a specific spot which I would rather not uncover due to some reasons.

Right away I didn’t remember or recognized him since we have never met. In any case, it was him that called out to me, I mean he called me by my sports column name ‘Sports Eye’. It was then I distinguished him as my reader as well as well-wisher.

We traded merriments and quickly he acquainted himself with me before I might request for an introduction.

Right away, I invited and praised him for his great introductions and great and good job he is doing as well.

I was at the production unit of the Triumph Publishing Company, Kano but my keen interest in sports journalism made me to be sports writer and maintained a sports column called (Sports Eye) after my mentor Sani Muhammad Zaria transferred his service to New Nigeria newspapers in Kaduna. And when the government closed the Triumph in 2012, I was transfered to lectured DTP in the Department of Printing Technology of Kano State Polytechnic. And now that I retired, i used to visit the institution weekends for part-time lecturing.
