Suspension of Updated KASHIGA Staff Games Medal Table

Following complaints from some participating institutions, the Technical Committee of the KASHIGA Staff Games 2026 has suspended the recently reviewed and updated Medal Table for further review.

The committee said the decision is to allow all participating institutions and stakeholders with observations or complaints to come forward for consideration before the final review and verification of the results.

The Technical Committee urged all concerned parties to submit their observations for proper consideration.

I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye.
