The organisers of the Kano State Higher Institutions Games (KASHIGA) have released the final and official medal table of the recently concluded Staff Games, ending the uncertainty and disagreements over the institutions that led the standings and those at the bottom.
Under the final standings, Bayero University (BUK) emerged at the top with seven medals, comprising four gold, one silver and two bronze.
Northwest University (NWU), which was earlier placed at the top of the table, dropped to second position with six medals. Its haul included four gold and two bronze medals.
Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education (SRCOE), Kumbotso, moved into third position with three medals, comprising one gold, one silver and one bronze.
Kano State Polytechnic occupied fourth position with three medals, made up of one gold and two bronze medals.
The Federal College of Agricultural Produce Technology (FCAPT), Hotoro, finished fifth with five medals, comprising three silver and two bronze medals.
Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, secured six medals, including two silver and four bronze.
KHAIRUN finished the competition in seventh position with two silver medals.
Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, won one silver medal, while Yusuf Maitama Sule College of Education, Ghari, secured one bronze medal.
The remaining 10 institutions that participated in the competition failed to win any medal.
