He said that the two days’ Golf Tournament will kick-start on 3rd and end on 4th February, 2024.

Mr. Musa further hinted that among the dignitaries that expected to grace the Tournament include the Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf his counterparts from Katsina State, Dikko Radda, and Jigawa State, Umar Namadi.

Also to be present according to the PRO are former Plateau State Governor who was also a  former Minister of Labour and Employment,

and now a senator,  Senator Solomon Lalong and also the former Bauchi State Governor, M.A Abubakar (SAN) amongst others.

The famous Kano Golf Club was established  116 years ago and is one of the oldest Golf Clubs in Nigeria.

I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
