Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has given its esteemed SWAN Fellowship Award to Ado Salisu, its former Vice Chairman in charge of Northwest Zone, as part of the celebration of its diamond jubilee.
Ado Salisu, a seasoned sports writer and broadcaster who was born in Kano, was honored for his exceptional service to the association and his more than thirty years of commitment to the sports media sector.
Amb Ikenna Okonkwo, the association’s national secretary, signed the award conferment letter, which stated that the recipient had performed significant roles throughout the association’s existence and that the distinction was well-deserved.
He expressed his congratulations to the honoree, calling it a well-earned honor.
