The Kano Handball Team played a friendly match between men and women last week at the At the Army School of Physical Training handball court, Zaria.
According to hint the matches were played on this month’s 10th and 11th to gauge the two teams’ preparedness for impending conflict.
On Friday, October 10 (Day 1), the (male) COAS Shooters thrashed the Kano pillars 37–13 and on Saturday, October 11, in the same male category, the COAS shooters once more defeated the Kano pillars 35–14 on Day 2.
The match between the Kano Pillars female team and the COAS Babes concluded 14–14 on Day 1 of the female division on October 10.
On the second day, however, Kano Pillars were outscored by COAS Babes by a score of 17–14 goals.
The report states that Babes and the COAS Shooters will be in Kano at the end of the month for returning matches.
