To brighten his fortune in his soccer career, the Kano Pillars Football striker, Yusuf Abdullahi Tsamage is reported to depart to Norway in Northern Europe.

According to Taskar Wasanni, a Radio Nasara sports program, the Tsamage left the shores of this country with his agent via Lagos international Airport on Saturday at 9.00pm.

Tsamage, who is the highest goal scorer of Kano Pillars FC this season having scored five goals in one match against Gombe United, was said to gone to gone to Norway for a trial in an undisclosed team.

The Taskar Wassani presenter, Muhammad Wasilu Kawo’s concerted efforts to confirm the departure of the player to Norway from the management of Kano Pillars FC proved abortive as he could not reach the club’s PRO or any member of the club’s management to confirm the story the end of the end of the program.

It could be recalled that this is not the first time Tsamage left Nigeria to an unspecified country for a trial as he was said to have jetted outside the country last year for same purpose.

I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
