    Tijjani Shehu Yahaya is the Chairman of K-Series Football Academy, an organization he founded in 2015 with the goal of fostering and developing young football players into elite athletes.

    Under his direction, the academy has developed into a centre for identifying, developing, and coaching young football players, equipping them with the tactical and technical know-how required to succeed in the game.

    Because of his dedication to grassroots development, K-Series has emerged as one of Nigeria’s most promising football academies, drawing interest from clubs and scouts around Africa and beyond.

    In addition to his position as its chairman and founder, Tijjani Shehu Yahaya actively participates in the day-to-day operations of the academy, making sure that the players’ general well-being, discipline, and coaching standards are upheld at the greatest possible level.Tj3

    He emphasizes holistic development, which balances education, character development, and sportsmanship, to help players become not only skilled athletes but also responsible individuals off the field.

    His leadership style, which continues to motivate his staff and players alike, blends innovation, mentoring, and a love for the game and the work.

    Through his visionary approach, Tijjani Shehu Yahaya has successfully positioned his Football Academy as a breeding ground for future stars who are capable of competing on both national and international stages.

    His efforts reflect a broader commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s football foundation by providing opportunities for talented youths to pursue their dreams within and outside the shores of the country.

    Tijjani’s commitment to transforming young football players into successful professionals and sport ambassadors with an emphasis on discipline, professionalism, and community impact is clear, which is why parents choose him when it comes to enrolling their children in various domestic and international sports academies.

    Born on October 17, 1978, in Tudun Wada, Nasarawa local government, Kano state, this seasoned media and sports executive has vast experience in stakeholder engagement, sports marketing, and strategic communication.

    He has established a solid reputation over the years for his capacity to engage a wide range of audiences, cultivate alliances, and develop powerful communication plans that support sports organizations and projects.

    Because of his deep understanding of media dynamics and sports administration, he has been able to promote positive narratives around sports development while ensuring that key stakeholders from athletes and sponsors to fans and governmental organizations remain actively involved.

    Tijjani has made a substantial contribution to improving the reputation and expansion of sports in Nigeria with his professional experience.

    Fourteen young, gifted players have been successfully transferred by him to clubs outside of Nigeria. Of them, three are fusing football and education, four are in Azerbaijan at the moment, three are in Malta, two are in Finland, one is in France, and four are in Spain.

    He is also now scouting 40 prospects players for the Kano-based K-Series Football Academy, 28 players for Sunway Football Academy, and 38 players for Breakthrough Football Club.

    He expertly combines innovative marketing techniques with communication tactics to increase brand awareness and community engagement in the sports industry.

    His capacity to create and carry out effective campaigns has aided in advancing organizational objectives and cultivating enduring stakeholder trust.

    He is dedicated to using effective communication strategies and meaningful collaborations to advance Nigeria’s sports culture and broaden its global reach. Promoting pertinent athletic activities is something he is passionate about.

    He was admitted into the Science Secondary School, Dawakin Kudu in 1992 after attending the esteemed Dakata Special Primary School in 1987.

    He obtained his NCE Certificate in 1997 from what is now known as Saadatu Rimi College of Education, formerly known as Kano State College of Education Kumbotso.

    In 2004, Tijjani Shehu Yahaya pursued further education and graduated with a B.Sc. in Geography (Ed.) from Bayero University in Kano.

    In addition, he obtained a Professional Certificate in Film and Television in 2005 and a Certificate in Data Processing from Down Town Community TV College in New York, USA, in 2013.

    Tijjani was given the position of Managing Director of Hijrah TV, a free-to-air satellite TV, from 2017 to 2024 because of his enormous worth. Where he oversaw all aspects of broadcasting in this capacity, including hiring, programming, and technology development.

    As evidenced by the dramatic 40% increase in coverage and viewership during his first year at the station, this is why the station became a hot cake for viewers under his direction.

    Currently, the CEO of K-Series Multimedia Limited (2012) oversees a range of multimedia projects, including sports broadcasts, documentaries, and television shows, in addition to creating award-winning TV series and documentaries that have garnered recognition and awards on a national and international level.

    As General Manager of Hausa Sport TV Plus in 2020, the youthful Hayatu oversaw and presented broadcast operations, marketing, and content creation for Hausa-speaking sports enthusiasts.

    As a result, the channel now attracts a regular viewership of over 2 million people across West Africa, Northern Nigeria, and other parts of the country.

    Since 2018, Tijjani Shehu Yahaya has served as an anchor and sports expert, hosting sports programs on Arewa 24 Sports TV and Nasara Radio Kano.

    He also delivers a range of sports-related analysis and hosts sports shows, with an emphasis on local and international football.

    Even though Tijjani Shehu is still a young man, it is clear from his modest achievements thus far that he has a lot to offer the sports and media industries.

    In addition to placing several players in international teams and leagues, he has created engaging and thought-provoking content that has raised listener and viewer ratings.

    He served as general manager of marketing for Kano Pillars FC from 2020 to 2024, developing and supervising advertising campaigns that enhanced the team’s standing and sponsorship deals.

    He is currently preparing a landmark documentary titled “Kano Pillars FC at 30” to commemorate the club’s history.

    It is understandable why Tijjani Shehu Yahaya has been recognized with so many honors and accolades for his outstanding contributions to the growth of sports and media throughout the nation.

    These honours include the Best Indigenous Language Movie/TV Series (Hausa) Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) in 2017, the Best TV Series award from the Arewa Movies and Musical Award (AMMA) in 2017, and another award from the Arewa Movies and Musical Award (AMMA) for Best Sort Film in 2018.

    In 2019, the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) awarded him the Philanthropist of the Year Award.

    He won the Nasarawa LG Award for Team Manager of the Year, and Yahaya was named the 2019 winner of the Equal Access International Short Film Competition. Additionally, he won Best Cinematography at the 2019 2nd Kaduna International Film Festival.

    Tijjani also received the 2019 Equal Access International Ambassador Award and the 2020 Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Ambassador Award.

    He was named NACCIMA’s 2018 Media Entrepreneur of the Year and the recipient of the KILAF Film Festival’s Best Short Film award.

    In 2018, he was honored to receive the Night of Fame Hasken Arewa Award for Best TV Documentary.

    Producer, director, script translator, cinematographer, and editor are among Tijjani’s primary competencies in broadcast management.

    His abilities have also expanded to include multi-platform media operations, project management, sports management, consulting, strategic leadership, team development, marketing, and sponsorship acquisition.

    Tijjani Shehu, a fervent supporter of ongoing development, has extensive worldwide expertise in media and sports management and has visited almost every continent in the world.

    He visited Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Senegal, Niger, Togo, Benin, Ghana, China, France, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom, Scotland, and the United Kingdom.

    He is the first Kano State-born FIFA/NFF Licensed Agent, a Commercial Partner of Dangote Group of Companies, Member of Down Community TV (Manhattan), New York, USA, a Member of CTIA, Washington, DC, USA, Chief Bureau Officer Northern Nigeria, and Come to Nigeria Magazine.

    In fact his professional affiliations and membership span all organizations worldwide as he is a member of the Society for Credible Leadership in Nigeria, B.E Sport LLC, Chicago, USA, 90 Minute Plus South Africa Football Magazine, Liverpool United Kingdom Recruitment Officer, and FIFA Media Volunteer Organizing Team (Qatar 2022 World Cup).

    For Africa Magic Hausa DSTV, Arewa 24, Muhasa TV and Radio, Starring TV and Radio, Wonderland TV, Rahama TV and Radio, Hausa Sport TV Satellite Channel, Tambari TV, Jalla TV and Radio, and ARTV Kano, Tijjani Hayatu serves as a consultant and content creator.

    He is a part-time lecturer at the Kano Film Academy in the UK, a member of Bournemouth University’s UK Digital Film Distribution Africa Content, and an agent, scout, and consultant for Seven A Football Academy in London.

    He is the member of Equal Access International/MacArthur Foundation Content Supplier, Africa XP South Africa, Maitama Sule University Kano, and Content Partnership.

    He serves as the director of Milkyway Football Academy, a member of the Nollywood Film Producers Association, the vice chairman of the Kannywood Film Producers Association, and a media consultant for the Kano State Football Association.

    It appears that Tijjani Shehu Yahaya has maintained his impressive success in all of his undertakings. He is known as a trustworthy and goal-oriented professional because of his devotion, self-control, and pursuit of greatness.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
