    NPFL victory: Board shower praises on Pillars TA…begs Kano SWAN to sheath sword

    The Management of Kano Pillars FC has expressed appreciation on the efforts of the team’s Technical Crew in taking the to Club, Sai Masu Gida to greater heights.

    According to a statement from the Club’s Media Officer, Sharif Zahraddeen Usman  Kofar Nassarawa, the management of the club shower praises on the team’s Technical Crew headed by Abdu Maikaba and the entire players of the club for a job well-done after their 1-0 victory over their visitors last Saturday.

    The statement further stated that despite the team’s previous losses, the Pillars players and the Technical Crews did their best and bounced back to their winning streak.

    The Board further expressed optimism that with this victory, Kano Pillars would concentrate and win more matches which would eventually lead to winning the 2023/2024 NPFL trophy.

    The statement then enjoined the players and the technical crew to continue to work towards achieving fruitful results.

    On the misunderstanding with Kano SWAN, which led to the boycott of the club’s activities especially in recent matches, the Pillars Management expressed concern on this negative trend and apologized to SWAN.

    “SWAN is our partner in progress, we need them and their unflinching support to move mountains and triumph,” the statement added. 

     The statement further appreciated the contribution of Kano SWAN members for reporting all its away and home matches and other club’s activity  which has taken Pillars FC to its enviable position in ongoing league.

    The Pillars Management then appealed to all stakeholders to continue to work closely to enable success in the task ahead.

    I was a staff of the then Triumph Newspapers, with keen interest in sports journalism which drove me to the unit where I was supported and oiled in the dynamics of modern sports reporting by my mentor/friend, Sani Zaria, the then Group Sports Editor of the Triumph. And when he left in 1995, I tried to sustain the spirit against all odds with a column sportesye. But when The Triumph was closed, I was moved to Kano Polytechnic as a lecturer until my retirement last 3 years, which gives me time to return to what I know best , the recreation of the SPORTS EYE.
