The Rector, Kano State Polytechnic, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, has inaugurated the new Polytechnic Academic Board (PAB) members, comprising the newly appointed Deputy Rector, Directors and head of various Departments of the Institution.
According to a release which was signed by 𝑨𝒖𝒘𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒘𝒂𝒊, 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒇𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒔, the event took place last week at the 96th meeting of the Board held at Professor Hafiz Abubakar Hall, School of Technology Annex.
Addressing the gathering, the Rector introduced himself as the new chairman of the Board, expressing that there is the need to make KSP a unique academic institution which God willing become one of the best Polytechnics in the nation and beyond.
The rector further assured the Board that he will steer the affairs of the Institution within the ambit of the institution’s laws and that he will work hand in hand with his management team to improve the standard of the institution.
A high point of the meeting was the presentation of souvenirs by the Rector to one of the staff, Munubiya Nalado of the central library, a move that was described as historic. The commendation gesture conferred on Munubiya was due her effort in helping Kano State Polytechnic to secure a donation of 100 laptop computers from National Communication Commission (NCC).
The resolutions at the meeting include: Students’ Semester Results should be released within 40 days after examination, more admission opportunities should be provided for our teaming youth, a workshop will be organized for the new HODs and Examination Officers, first Batch admission should be released as soon as possible and adjustment of the 2023/2024 Academic Session Calendar
