The KASHIGA Staff Games final has been thrown into uncertainty following a petition filed by the Northwest University staff team against the College of Nursing over the alleged use of an ineligible player.
The College of Nursing defeated Northwest University 2-1 in their semi-final encounter, but the result is now being challenged.
It remains unclear which of the two teams will eventually face FCE (Technical) in the final.
The organisers’ Technical Committee is expected to meet with officials of the two institutions this morning to take a final decision on the matter, as the third-place match is scheduled to hold later today.
The committee is reportedly waiting for some documents from the College of Nursing before reaching its final decision.
Whatever the outcome of the petition, the third-place match will go ahead this evening, with FCAPT Hotoro set to feature.
